This Spots & Spikes piece plays with retro interface language and emotional irony - presenting a “support unit” that has gone DISCONNECTED, as if feelings could simply drop a signal and return later without notice. Inspired by analogue error screens, indie Japanese graphic systems, and playful UI fiction, the design treats emotional states like technical statuses.
Minimal typography, soft archival textures, and clean composition turn the idea of disconnection into something almost polite - like a system calmly informing you it is unavailable, while clearly still existing in the background.
Irony lives in the gap between what is declared and what is actually felt.
